Aglianico I.G.P. Campania 2021
Aglianico I.G.P. Campania 2021
Bianchini Rossetti has been farming the volcanic slopes of Monte Massico, in northern Campania, since 1880, and their organic, hand-harvested Aglianico shows it — the grape is known for pulling a distinct minerality out of volcanic ground, and this one is unmistakably that way. Fifteen days of maceration and five months in steel bring out ruby-red fruit, violet and a little spice, with smooth tannins underneath. Low-yield and food-built: pour it with charcuterie, aged cheese, a ragù, or straight off the barbecue.
Our other Bianchini Rossetti import, Falanghina, has its own Falanghina wine guide if you want the full Campania picture.
