Birra Antoniana Unfiltered IPA

Birra Antoniana doesn't buy its barley — it grows it, on the family's own land outside Padua in the Veneto, before brewing this unfiltered, full-bodied IPA. American hops bring resin and tropical fruit; European noble hops add an herbaceous backbone — the kind of layered bitterness that's built for a hard cheese or a long-aged cured meat, not a quick sip. The brewery runs on a sustainable-agriculture model, so what's in the glass is, quite literally, what's in the field. At 6.7% ABV, slow down and let it open up.
