Pecorino I.G.T. Abruzzo 2025
Pecorino I.G.T. Abruzzo 2025
Pecorino almost didn't make it: the ancient white grape native to the Abruzzo-Marche hills had fallen to fewer than 100 hectares by 2000 — the same years growers brought it back from the edge, Abruzzo's first varietal bottling arriving in the 1990s. Its name comes from pecora, the Italian word for sheep — shepherds driving their flocks between pastures are said to have let them graze on its sweet grapes along the way. Fattoria Teatina hand-harvests this organic, low-yield 2025 vintage for a crisp, aromatic white suited to seafood, fish, pasta, or a sharp Abruzzese cheese.

Abruzzo
Fattoria Teatina
Since the early sixties, the De Lutiis family has produced high-quality wines in the sunny hills of Abruzzo. Fattoria Teatina’s vines, growing in clay-rich soil, yield excellent grapes high in freshness and tannins. Pierluigi learned the "tendone" system, ensuring perfect ripening. Handcrafted processes and organic practices preserve the vineyard's health, creating unique and aromatic wines.
